Accompanied by SPSD Manager, Ms. Chai Kam Ching, the MTC team visited key industry stakeholders, including the Sarawak Furniture Industry Association, Kaliman Timber Corporation, and the Sarawak Timber Association (STA), to emphasise the importance of ESG standards for the industry’s growth and sustainability.

The visit focused on providing support for SMEs, raising awareness of ESG standards, and fostering collaboration through MTC’s regional offices. MTC also stressed the importance of innovation and inclusivity, encouraging the involvement of younger generations and designers to address challenges in ESG adoption.
